8) Place the carrier back into the diff. housing the same way it was removed. Bolt on the bearing caps (remember your alignment marks!) and torque the bearing cap bolts to 45 ft. lbs. Push the axle shafts back in carefully and torque the hub bearing bolts to 75 ft. lbs. Replace rotors, calipers (torque bolts to 11 ft. lbs.) and tires. Install the diff. cover (torque bolts to 30 ft. lbs.) and refill with gear lube, usually takes about 1.5 quarts. Then tighten the fill hole plug to 25 ft. lbs.

 

 

Inspect your work and double check every thing. Test your installation according to the procedures in the installation manual included with the Lock-Right. I put on about 100 miles before I really took the Jeep out on a off-road test just to "break-in" the new locker. I am very satisfied with the overall performance on and off road. My Jeep has now taken me to places I haven't been before!
